Technology in Physical Education
Have you ever thought of a way to enhance your teaching performance? Something that will keep your kids interested? Well look no further! Now you can incorporate heart monitors in your classroom so students can keep track of their own heart rate. You can use video cameras or ipads in your classroom so students can record each other completing a task. Students can use apps on an Ipad they will keep them interested in the class such as in class workouts. There are many different types of technology you can use in your classroom, these are just some.

ReplyDeleteThere is so much technology out in the world today. I know of a teacher currently teaching 10th grade physical education and she uses heart rate monitors everyday. Every student has on a heart rate monitor, she and her students are able to see how they did that day in class. It shows them three different zones. A target zone (in the middle), a low zone (bottom), and a high zone (top). She wants her students to be in their target zone. If they are too low it tells her and that student they need to work harder, and if they are too high it tells her and that student that they need to slow down and take some breaks. It's amazing how well the students love seeing where they are at in their workout and how it benefits them. The teacher really did a nice job incorporating technology into her classroom this way.
